Discourse and Darshan

Questions and answers about Amma's spiritual discourse and darshan

Is there a dress code for attendance to the programs?

We prefer the public to wear white or light-shaded attire. However, despite the colors, it is required that you wear modest clothes that are not revealing.

How long will this program last?

The Evening Program, consisting of Darshan and Spiritual Discourse generously given by Amma is scheduled to begin at 7pm and may last for 1.5- 2 hours.

May I record the discourse?

We request that attendees not tape record the programs but welcome individuals to take notes during the discourse.

May I take pictures on my personal camera?

No, pictures of the program are not allowed for any of the programs. Pictures of Amma are available at the bookstore. We strongly advise attendees to refrain from taking pictures on any camera including digital and cell phone. If we identify individuals taking pictures, we will request that you stop and delete the pictures you have taken already.

Also, please remember to keep your cell phones on silent or turned off as we do not want any interruptions during Amma’s discourse. Any other electronic devices such as PDAs/mp3 players must also be switched off as you enter the hall.

Where can I park for the Discourse? Is there a cost to park at the site?

The Tucson Discourse will be held at the Four Points Sheraton. There is ample parking space on the East and Southeast sides of the hotel as well as in the lower level parking garage of the hotel. There is no cost for parking. Directions to the Four Points Sheraton.
